Ignite Funding Partners launches as a UK lender of £1m–£25m facilities, lining up £500m and using AI agents to analyse company information
Founded by former ThinCats managing director Ravi Anand, Ignite offers £1m to £25m facilities for organic growth, acquisitions, ownership transition and refinancing at the larger end of the UK SME market, and says £500m of lending capital is being lined up from institutional investors. It says its approach is supported by data and purpose-built AI agents that analyse company information, with human judgement on lending decisions.
Why it matters for deal teams: New lower-mid-market lenders are launching with AI agents in underwriting from day one, which sets a speed expectation that incumbent SME and direct lenders will be compared against.
